Adrienne Berg

A scoliosis diagnosis at a young age guided Adrienne to seek out alternatives for correcting her posture without surgery and rebalancing misalignments. This experience turned into a passion to serve others with a regular mind-body practice. Ultimately this spurred Adrienne to a career path in becoming both a certified Yoga and Comprehensive Pilates teacher.

Realizing that her interests have always been with the therapeutic aspect of exercise and wellness, she opened her own small studio, Mauna Kai Pilates and Yoga in 2013 where she still teaches private and semi-private classes.

Adrienne has now logged 20 years of teaching experience, yet she believes in always remaining a student. She recently competed a 2 year Wild Yoga Teacher Training Program through Balanced Rock based in Yosemite National Park, and seeks to apprentice with Lolita San Miguel, (one of Joseph Pilates’ last surviving First generation Pilates teachers), in the future.

Adrienne is a compassionate instructor, encourager, and teammate for her students. She is passionate about the mind- body-spirit connection and wants her students to experience their own inner wisdom and movement that heals.

Adrienne, a native Mobilian, is a former Azalea Trail Maid, holds a bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology from the University of South Alabama, and holds a full time day job with the Army Corp of Engineers. She also plays the Celtic Harp, and is an avid Argentine Tango and Ballroom dancer, and enjoys hiking and paddleboarding.

Adrienne teaches Restorative yoga at our studio.
