Hatha is a branch of yoga that emphasizes physical exercise to master the body along with mind exercises to withdraw it from external objects. The word “hatha” in Sanskrit literally means, “force” or “willful”, or the yoga activity, and as “sun” (ha) and “moon” (tha), the yoga balance. Hatha practices are designed to align and calm your body, mind and spirit in preparation for meditation! Similar to the Traditional Hot series, this class offers many of the same postures, but is tapered to the needs of the students in each room. It is not a sequenced class, but very consistent and therapeutic. Heated to approximately 100 degrees with 40% humidity. It also adds yoga therapy for specific ailments and pain.
