Join Aimee Wilson for an introduction to Ayurveda, an ancient science and naturopathic system from India.
Simply put, Ayurveda is about being yourself, in a world that asks you to be everything but that. It is about the soft turn inward and allowing of the truer one within you to emerge. In such allowing, we are invited to look closer at what we feed our bodies and minds.
Aimee will guide us through a meditation, and share on how food and lifestyle play into our inner aliveness. She will then introduce the 3 “doshas” or energies believed to circulate the body and govern physiological activity. By understanding these energies, we can open more fully into self-awareness and thereby understand what types of food, exercise, oils and lifestyle invokes our true Being. She will then give practical tips on how to apply Ayurvedic principles and share Ayurvedic recipes for this winter season.
